Painted Sky Opera Invites You to Hit Your High Note!

Join us for our FIRST road race! Run with friends along the beautiful southern edge of Lake Hefner as you help bring interactive opera education into schools in central Oklahoma. The course is fast, flat, and scenic and the race will be electronically timed and run to USATF rules. Plus, you’ll hear the best-sung national anthem you’ve ever heard at a race!

All participants in the Bravo 5K and Fun Run get a t-shirt with the Bravo 5k logo, a finisher medal, and custom bibs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when is packet pick-up? Packet pick-up is available before the race at Stars and Stripes Park before the race starting at 6 pm. This is the only packet pickup location.

Will there be opera? Yes! We’ll have a special performance by OKC area opera singers before the race at 7 pm.

Where does it start/end? The race starts and ends at Stars and Stripes Park at the southern end of Lake Hefner in northwest OKC. The address is 3701 S. Lake Hefner Drive and parking is in the nearby lots.

What about water? There will be one water stop on the course and plenty of water once you get back to the finish line.

Are strolllers, bikes, or pets allowed on the course? Because this race is being run under USATF rules, there are no strollers, bikes, or pets allowed on the course.

Is this a loop or an out-and-back? The route is a loop along the shores of Lake Hefner.

What sizes are available for the shirts? T-shirts are available in sizes S-2XL.

What happens if it snows/rains/frogs drop from the sky/women with horned helmets invade? There are no refunds due to weather or other reasons and your registration can’t be transferred to another racer. We’ll run unless it is dangerous to do so.
