Painted Sky Opera presents The Magic Flute Goes West, a 45-minute interactive opera for children presented in English!

Tam is a newcomer to town and is soon tasked by the local ranch owner and “Queen” of the town to retrieve her stolen flute. However, the thief is the Queen’s own daughter, Pam! With the help of Pam and friendly cowpoke Pop Mageno, Tam learns the fun that comes from making music with others.

The Magic Flute Goes West is a 45-minute interactive opera for children in English loosely based on Mozart’s The Magic Flute. The opera is appropriate for all ages and aimed at pre-K to 5th grade students. The opera engages students in dancing and playing instruments and emphasizes concepts of the fun that comes from making music together as a group as well as the importance of music and art to society in general.
